The goods purchased in China must comply with the laws and regulations of the People's Republic of China and be allowed to be imported by the state. The relevant laws and regulations are as follows:
The revised "List of Prohibited Items for Import and Export of the People's Republic of China" and "List of Restricted Items for Import and Export of the People's Republic of China" are hereby released and will come into effect on March 1, 1993. The Announcement of the General Administration of Customs of the People's Republic of China on Issuing the List of Prohibited and Restricted Items for Import and Export, issued by our office on November 1, 1987, is hereby abolished.
The People's Republic of China prohibits the entry and exit of goods
1、 Prohibited entry items
1. Various weapons, simulation weapons, ammunition, and explosives;
2. Counterfeit currency and counterfeit securities;
3. Printed materials, films, photographs, records, films, audio tapes, video tapes, laser discs, computer storage media, and other items that are harmful to China's politics, economy, culture, and morality;
4. Various potent poisons;
5. Opium, morphine, heroin, marijuana, and other addictive drugs and psychotropic substances;
6. Animals, plants, and their products containing dangerous pathogens, pests, and other harmful organisms;
7. Food, drugs, or other items that are harmful to human and animal health, come from epidemic areas, and can spread diseases.
2、 Prohibited outbound items
1. All items included in the prohibited entry scope;
2. Manuscripts, printed materials, films, photographs, records, films, audio tapes, video tapes, laser discs, computer storage media, and other items involving state secrets;
3. Precious cultural relics and other cultural and sports prohibited from leaving the country;
4. Endangered and precious animals, plants (including specimens), their seeds, and reproductive materials.

1. Wireless transceiver, communication security device;
2. Smoke and alcohol;
3. Endangered and precious animals, plants (including specimens), their seeds, and reproductive materials;
4. National currency;
5. Other items restricted by customs from entering the country.
2、 Restricted outbound items
1. Precious metals such as gold and silver and their products;
2. National currency;
3. Foreign currency and its securities;
4. Wireless transceiver, communication security device;
5. Valuable traditional Chinese medicinal herbs;
6. General cultural relics;
7. Other items restricted by customs from leaving the country.
